BLINK. BREATHE. BE.
Learning how to remain in a dynamically relaxed state, with special attention of the mind and eyes, is one of the foundations of the Feldenkrais Method®
How much time do we spend in front of our: cell phones, laptops, PCs, TVs... game consoles...?
When we're in functional mode during our daily work, we no longer notice how much strain we put into sitting in front of these devices. Often, our backs are hunched, our shoulders pulled toward our ears, and our gaze is in "stare mode." We look grim, grinde our teeth, and thrust our heads forward like a turtle...
The work with the eyes and natural vision is based on the Bates Method®, which was developed in the 1920s by Dr. W. H. Bates.
Vision training teaches you how to
relieve eye strain, achieve muscular balance and use your eyes comfortably and without strain throughout the day.
This has been proven to lead to:
eye healing, increased blood circulation and lymph flow, increased nutrient absorption, reduced pressure and improved visual acuity, fewer headaches, and generally healthier employees.
Who benefits from constructive eye and vision training?
• People who want to do something to maintain and improve their vision. (Prevention is always best!)
• People who wear glasses and/or contact lenses (currently, this accounts for well over 60% of the population)
• ! Eye training is also beneficial after laser eye surgery or
in cases of irreparable vision problems such as dry and wet macular degeneration, as it is beneficial for the eyes to be more relaxed.
• Companies, so that employees can work in a more relaxed manner.
More relaxed working leads to higher productivity; a better working environment, and generally fewer sick days.
• Educational Institutions such as kindergardens and schools, so that teachers and caregivers can teach children the eye exercises as early as possible.
